As is customary, the DIGA year actually starts in November when we had a good turnout at Penn Golf Club. Steve Gibbons set his sights on winning the “Green Jacket” after coming close on several occasions taking pole position in our season long championship

For the first event of 2023 we stayed in the Midlands at Market Harborough Golf Club on St Patricks day . The day was won by Malvern lad Jim Daly A top quality course enjoyed by all including Father & son Andy & Andrew Schunke dressed for the occasion

Our May event was rearranged at the last minute because Redditch G C being waterlogged we managed to play at Hollywood G C just south of Birmingham, I enjoyed the course and will return there again one day, On form Steve Gibbons took the winners slot again to cement his place at the top of the championship table
July we headed to Wells G C in Somerset, Weather was atrocious and we had to end the event at the 12th green due to the flooded greens, leader of the pack at that point was honourable secretary Richard Tookey who gladly took his first win for 23 years
September we moved up north to Stand G C near Manchester again Steve Gibbons came out on top to deservedly win the 2023 DIGA Championship title, Congratulation Steve G who has been a runner up numerous times in the last few years,

Good weather after a lot of rain for October. The courses played well on the first 2 days, The Wiral & Caldy, the last day Runcorn had drainage issues and was very wet, organised by Martin T. Great hotel and a very enjoyable tour, Langdons Lions taking the victory on the final day,
